How to Tie a Knot

If you’ve ever attempted to hand stitch a hem, you know how incredibly frustrating it can be when the knot at the beginning or end of your stitching comes undone. That’s why we’re here to save the day! In this sewing video, Mary Beth Temple shows you her tricks to tying a knot, so that it’s less bulky and stays tight. She also covers how and where to hide your knots while sewing, so that your knots stay tied and remain hidden on your finished project.     as a child i watched my grandmother do hand sewing but i did not learn these techniques… i played w trucks. now i quilt—machine piecing and long arm. i’ve been shown the knotting technique but not with the in depth description which makes sense! and end knots have been problems as well.
