The Primrose Shirred Dress is as pretty as a spring bouquet!

This flowy dress is easy to make and fun to wear—just put it on and get on with your life!

Primrose Shirred Dress

Wear this dress to the market or out to dinner—it’s breeziness personified! Kimberly Payne’s ode to the classic nap dress is an updated version of an old favorite. The Primrose Shirred Dress is so flattering, with its body-conscious shirred bodice and tiered maxi skirt, it works for all types of figures.

This dress is perfect for a warm weather excursion, but you can wear it in the evening, too, just throw on a lightweight cardigan and you’re good to go. We love the wide shoulder straps—no more peek-a-boo bra straps. And if you’re wild about ruffles, the Primrose is perfect for you: There are ruffles on the shoulder straps, at the top of the bodice, and between each tier of the maxi skirt!

When warm weather hits, a dress is just the thing, and the Primrose can take you from day to evening. Dress it up with fancy sandals and your favorite clutch. Dress it down with a denim jacket, some cute tennies, and a sun hat! You’ll find so many ways to show off your new me-made favorite.

This is easy warm-weather fashion—the Primrose Shirred Dress will take you effortlessly from the farmer’s market to cocktail hour on the patio.

Hi Gail! The links in the article are taking you to the actual pattern page (it should read as “Primrose Shirred Dress Pattern” as the headline). At the very bottom of this page is the printable pattern. If you’re having issues with the links in the article, you can always click on our magazine tab at the top of our site and select the pattern from our March 2022 issue. Have a great day!- Ashley, WeLikeSewing
