We’ve been seeing wide-leg pants everywhere lately and this pattern from Daniela Paz Gutierrez-Diaz combines sporty chic style with comfortable loungewear. This yoga pants pattern features wide, palazzo-style legs and is made in soft, stretch knit fabric. We love the versatility of this pattern, which can easily be dressed up with ballet flats or paired with a long sleeve tee and sneakers for casual wear.

CUTTING LAYOUT AND FABRIC REQUIREMENT:
1 1/2 yards for the pants.

Through this tutorial, you will see TWO main colors to easily identify the side of the fabric OR piece you are working with.

PREPARING YOUR PATTERN PIECES:
- Wash your fabrics before cutting to prevent shrinking.
- It is recommended to make a muslin or use a cheap fabric to check that the fitting and style of the pattern is exactly what you are looking for.
- Read the instructions carefully before starting this pattern.
- Gather all supplies you will need for this project.
- It is recommended to practice on areas and techniques that you are not familiar with before doing them on the final project.
Sewing Instructions:
- Bring the pant pieces to the table.

- Fold one in half and stitch the inseam with a 3/8 inch seam allowance.

- Repeat with the other leg.

- Turn one of the legs into the right side of the fabric. Insert into the other leg.

- Stitch the crotch seam with a 3/8 inch seam allowance from the front waistline through crotch to back waistline.

- Turn both legs into the wrong side of the fabric.

- Fold the hemline with 1 inch seam allowance. Stitch with 1/8 inch from the edge.

- Close the pleats on the waistline to about your hipline and press them into an inverted box pleat.

- Bring the waistband. Place front and back pieces together, right sides facing.
- Stitch the side seams with a 3/8 inch seam allowance. Press flat.
- Then, fold the upper hem with 3/8 inch seam allowance. Press flat and stitch it with 1/8 inch seam allowance from the edge.

- Turn the waistband to the right side of the fabric. Inset into the pants and match the upper seam.

- Stitch the seam with a 3/8 inch seam around front and back. Press the seam flat.

- Turn the waistband upward to the wrong side of the fabric.

- Then, turn again to the right side of the fabric, making sure the seams are covered by the waistband.
