Andini Wijendaru is a maker based in Indonesia. She engages in slow fashion by being more thoughtful about the clothes she creates, owns and wears through sewing. For her, sewing is about taking things at a pace to make quality garments that fit well to last for a long time. She strives to create waste-free wearable pieces to reduce fabric wastage by using leftover fabrics, scraps and orts. Her special interest is in using traditional Indonesian textiles for her garment creations to respect the people who made them and preserve the cultural heritage. She believes fashion can be a force for good by valuing the entire process of a garment - from the materials, the people and the planet.
