Smoky Skies Wonky Star Irish Chain Quilt Pattern

Embrace the beauty of deep winter sunsets with a stunning Irish chain quilt made of wonky stars! A dreamy way to use scraps or jelly rolls, this winter quilt pattern uses a combination of wonky stars and easy chain blocks to create its delightful design layout. Designer Megan Farrell has included measurements for multiple quilt sizes, so that you can create a wonky star quilt for your new grandbaby or sew a large version for your queen-size bed.

Designer Notes:

  • Border fabric/backing and binding not included in requirements/pattern.
  • Blocks should be made with a scant 1/4” seam allowance (just a hair under 1/4” ).
  • Layout for all sizes is for blocks to be alternated. For Baby, Lap, Twin and Queen sizes, Block 1 will be in the four corners of the quilt.
